Do you find that you’re constantly running out of steam with little to no explanation as to why? Perhaps the explanation is that we tend to be blind to the everyday habits that drain our energy, and without knowing what they are, they’re impossible to fix.
Thankfully, when you take a step back and look at the big picture, the solution is very easy — and it will only require dedication and consistency.
Here are the 10 THIEVES OF YOUR ENERGY, as proposed by Dalai Lama
Let Go.
Let go of people who just come to share complaints, problems, disastrous stories, fear and judgment of others. If someone searches for a bucket to throw your trash, try to not be on your mind.
Pay Bills On Time.
Always pay back your debts on time. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Keep Your Promises.
Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Breaking a promise you had no intention to keep, will destroy your good name.
Eliminate & Delegate.
Eliminate when possible and delegate tasks that you do not prefer to do and spend your time doing what you love to do.
Rest.
Give yourself permission to rest if you are in a moment that you need it, and permission to act if the time is appropriate.
Throw Away.
Nothing will take more energy than a messy place full of things from the past that no longer serve you.
Focus on Health.
Even the most brilliant mind can’t do without good health. Those who take care of both their physical and mental health needs are much happier. Spend enough time taking care of your body.
Confront.
Do not hide from confrontations. If something bothers you, express it and cut it out of your life.
Accept.
Acceptance Is NOT resignation. Nothing takes more energy than to fight against a situation you can’t change. Accept and move on.
Forgive.
Choosing not to forgive, is choosing to suffer. Don’t poison yourself, forgive whether the other person deserves to be forgiven. You’ll feel like a weight has been lifted off your chest.
Put these 10 energy drains to rest and be the person you were meant to be. You’ll be glad you did!
